Traditional tennis tournament

In the period of December 4 – 9, 2012 the Metropolitan Sofia Hall is where the 39th edition of "Academic" Tournament is taking place and since the previous year it has been named after Dr. Todor Todorov in memory of its founder.

This is the oldest male tennis event in our country, which has been gathering the best Bulgarian competitors in this sport up to now. The tournament is carried out under the sponsorship of Sopharma and under the aegis of Bulgarian National Television and Bulgarian Tennis Federation.

Sopharma is the host of a competition of the Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact

Today was the final of the FIRMA 5 competition, a project of the Bulgarian Network of the UN Global Compact. Being an active participant in the Network projects, Sopharma undertook to conduct a student competition, the award of which is to provide internship positions to finalists. This year, 5 team developments on pre-set cases in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Communications and Advertising entered into competition. The gift for all participants was a training course in presentation skills, provided by a professional adviser from Trainer.bg.

Sopharma AD Supported Scientific and Educational Session Dedicated to thse 100th Birth Anniversary of Prof. Dr. Paskov

A Scientific and Educational Pharmacology Session of 3rd-year students, Bulgarian and English education, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the famous inventor, physician and pharmacologist Prof. Dr. Dimitar Paskov (1914-1986) took place on May 13. He has a major impact on the development of the Bulgarian pharmacology and "will remain a name that has become a symbol, associated not only with the famous Bulgarian products Nivalin and Tabex, but also with many other developments that are up-to-date and still used", said MPharm Rumen Ivanov from Sopharma at the opening ceremony.

Small steps in Global future

National Council of Global Compact Bulgaria discussed next projects of the network. The project "I'm proud of my parents work 2014 " gathers more and more supporters not only from active members of the Global Compact Bulgaria, but companies that share same values and want to show their respect to labor. The project aims to show the children that labor is a value and each person is necessary to society, no matter what profession exercised , according to Ognjan Trayanov, a member of the National Assembly.

Sopharma Team with 2014 Salomon Vitosha Trail Race Prize

On May 24 a Sopharma team took part in 2014 Salomon Vitosha Trail Race (#SVT14). 230 enthusiasts from 6 countries took up the challenge to participate in the competition. According to race regulation the runners competed in three distances of varying lengths and difficulties.

Sopharma team performed quite well: Boyko Zlatanov scored 15:04 and won the first prize in the Veteran Group (Men, 4 km), while Margarita Vassileva scored 21:45 and won the second prize (Women, 4 km).

The Healthy Campaign

After creating the free mobile app “Zdravi”  Sopharma is launching the  “Healthy” campaign.

A portable Interactive installation designed especially for the project with mechanics made of plywood with  Arduino  based Software.

The campaign is dedicated to promote easy to follow practices for healthy living by measuring health indicators, such as pulse, and providing easy to implement advice according to the health indicators measured,upon performing the advise, the installation drops the participator a present.

Sopharma donated books

Sopharma donated jubilee books of the history of pharmacy to the Museum of the History of Medicine – Varna, and to the Pharmacy Student Library at the Faculty of Pharmacy - Varna. Books are sponsored entirely by Sopharma and represent the history of pharmacy from the Liberation till 2000 of this age, and its author is Natalia Angelova. The Museum Curator and the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Pharmacy accepted gratefully the books which would be for students and for those who are interested.
