On December 4 (Friday), for a sixth consecutive year, ABIRD held its most significant event - IR AWARDS 2020. The Association of Investor Relations Directors in Bulgaria is traditionally the organizer of the annual Annual IR Awards, which aims to gather feedback through industry surveys and to award the best IRD of the year.
Тhe competition is held in the following categories: Best IR website, Best IR initiatives, best communications for strategic development, management and risk, Best communications with investors and stakeholders, Best IRD – this year's grand prize was awarded to Pelagia Viatcheva, Investor Relations Director of “Sopharma” AD.
The jury of the IR AWARDS 2020 award ceremony were: Dr. Manyu Moravenov - Executive Director of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange - Sofia AD, Dr. Milena Angelova – General Secretary of the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria, Petko Krastev - Chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Management Companies, Radoslava Maslarska - Chairman of Bulgarian Association of Licensed Investment Intermediaries, Evelina Miltenova - Chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Supplementary Pension Insurance Companies.
The event was also awarded the participants of the IR JUNIOR CLASS 2020 training program, which was held for the second time, in which Kristiana Buchcheva – a member of the investor relations team of “Sopharma AD” participated.
Traditionally, ABIRD also supports a social cause – this year it was the “Write and Dream” campaign, which was covered for by the sponsorship packages of the IR Awards 2020 and provides a minimum of 100 sets of notebooks for 100 bulgarian children.
In 2020, despite the difficulties and the changed rhythm of work and life, “Sopharma” AD managed to meet all deadlines related to providing information to shareholders and the public.
