“Tales in Sopharma” Enchanted Children and Parents for Hours before the Children’s Book Day

Ivaylo Zahariev started the race of reading favorite children’s books whose faithful assistant was his eldest son Philip. Together they told the adventures of Franklin the turtle which was learning how to ride a bicycle. Meanwhile, the children learnt that Franklin might not go to a picnic because he was not hungry and that they could change fairy tales when they were wrong. “She is very beautiful” exclaimed the young storyteller Philip, catching a glimpse of one of the princesses in the audience and thus brought additional emotion into Franklin’s adventure. Of course, the most important moment turned out to be the end because everyone learnt that they should not give up, even if something might be so difficult as removing your auxiliary wheels.

“Namely through live contact and the impact of speech, the initiative “Tales in Sopharma” aims at encouraging the love of children for literature and its wealth, at attracting parents’ attention to the educational power of books and at involving families to the social cause of the art”, the organizers from Sopharma explained the reason to launch this initiative.

Simona Halacheva, who was recognized by the children from the children’s plays in Sofia Theatre, led them through the adventures of “Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter”.

Yoanna Temelkova brought her young listeners into the bewitched castle of the Beast and together with the Beauty, like real saviors, walked into the footsteps of his transformation into human.

Besides going through the favorite stories from the colorful pages, the children also showed creativity in the two special workshops “Easter Workshop with the Motts”, organized by the author of the book “My Beautiful Antlers” Radostina Nikolova and of the series “The Adventure of the Motts”, as well as in the workshop “Make Yourself a Book with This and That”, lead by the author and illustrator of the booklets “This and That” Maya Bocheva.

Partners in the fairy tales travels organized by Sopharma were “I Read” and LoveTheater.bg, and Sofia Theatre gave each kid and his or her relative a free ticket for one of their colorful magical children’s plays.
