"Sopharma Trading" d.o.o.
In 2015, “Sopharma Trading” AD started its regional expansion by entering the Serbian market, establishing a subsidiary in the country. The company's ambition is to become a strategic investor in the health care sector in the region of Eastern Europe and in particular the Balkans.
As a first step in this direction, in 2017 “Sopharma Trading” acquired the Serbian drug wholesaler Lekovit, which is currently called “Sopharma Trading” d.o.o. Belgrade. The company merged all its operations in the country under its corporate brand as a guarantee for the promises made.
Logistic potential
In Serbia, 2 distribution centers of “Sopharma Trading” operate in the towns of Sabac and Pukovac. The company has national coverage with main destinations: Belgrade, Novi Sad, Sabac, Loznitsa, Nis, Kragujevac and Krusevac.
The newest distribution center in Pukovac opened in early 2020 and took over the company's customer service in the country's southeastern region with plans to expand in Central, Western and Southern Serbia. It serves the entire portfolio of 20,000 products of “Sopharma Trading”, and to ensure maximum microclimate for their storage, Siemens' highest class building management system is built-in.
Technology and innovation
In 2019, “Sopharma Trading” became the first company in the healthcare sector in Serbia to make a significant investment in digital customer service.
As a key step for its development in Serbia and the region, the company implemented a comprehensive ERP system for managing the company's business processes in the country, developed by the world leader SAP. It enables the imposition of a number of innovations on the Serbian market, one of which is the built B2B site for customer service, based on the Hybris platform.
