The team of Sopharma won a tennis tournament of "Games for Good" of UNGC-Bulgaria and finished with the most points. The players enjoyed the support of their fans, among whom was Mr. Ognian Donev, Executive Director of Sopharma.
The team competed for the cause of Lyubcho – Lyubomir Ivaylov Elenkov, age 14, diagnosed with CP (cerebral palsy). He needs daily procedures of different therapies, and in the autumn he will be in the eighth grade of a specialized resource support school.
Sopharma was represented by Atanas Karaleev, Vladimir Sapundzhiev, Ivan Ivanov and Mario Stoev. Ivan Ivanov was second in the individual ranking, and the team scored most points of all companies.
"Games for Good" is a series of tournaments in different sports between the companies of UN Global Compact Bulgaria, each tournament having a different host. The host of the tennis tournament was Sopharma. In addition to the tennis tournament, the football tournament completed as well, where the winner was the team of Overgas. The other two tournaments were in cycling and volleyball.
Each team played for a cause supported by its company and the team itself chose to donate directly the resources collected for the tournament for the cause of the winner.
