A Scientific and Educational Pharmacology Session of 3rd-year students, Bulgarian and English education, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the famous inventor, physician and pharmacologist Prof. Dr. Dimitar Paskov (1914-1986) took place on May 13. He has a major impact on the development of the Bulgarian pharmacology and "will remain a name that has become a symbol, associated not only with the famous Bulgarian products Nivalin and Tabex, but also with many other developments that are up-to-date and still used", said MPharm Rumen Ivanov from Sopharma at the opening ceremony. The session was led by Prof. Dr. Nadka Boyadzhieva, one of Prof. Paskov’s last students, who highlighted the role of Sopharma and its contributors for preserving some of the works of the famous inventor and professor.
"Since the people that have visited our country call it "Health Resort" for its climate features, landscape and geographic location, therefore Bulgaria must become a country of the medicines so that our pharmaceutical industry gets a new bloom", once wrote Prof. Paskov. These words excite us even now - 100 years after his birth! Today Sopharma team feels part of Prof. Paskov’s scientific work since it has committed itself to preserve and produce products, which have been bearing health and causing relief for more than 80 years!
