Yesterday, 24.01.2013, the Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria Mr. Konstantin Penchev, opened the photo exposition “The Man Who Inspires Me”.
The initiative was part of the festive events, by which Bulgarian National Radio marked its 78th anniversary.
The ceremony at Sopharma Business Towers started BNR’s Festival Week that was the present of the National Radio for its loyal listeners. The photo exposition, which can be seen to 24.02.2013 at Sopharma Business Towers, represents a selection of the 78 most interesting photos that took part in the photo contest under the same title, organized by the BNR’s Advertizing and Publishing House, Binar Radio-BNR.
During the ceremony, Konstantin Penchev drew out the names of the winners between the finalists with the most vivid photos on the subject of "The Man Who Inspires Me". The Jury’s award for best photographer was granted to Tihomira Metodieva, who grasped a dramatic moment of a fire extinguished by a volunteer. For her achievement, she was distinguished with the award of a professional photo camera.
The other awards received by the other winners were a colour printer Epson L800 by "Factor Bulgaria", career consulting by JobTiger and a complete collection of the compact disks issued to date by BNR’s Advertizing and Publishing Agency (APA). A special gift for each of the successful participants in the photo contest was his/her own original photo printed on high-quality Hahnemuehle paper, a work in АЗ format with a virtual mount and a frame. „Each photo tells a story. The stories are different but show the same thing”, said Radomira Mihova, APA Director, hours before the awards.
According to her words, the photo contest turned into a „documentary photo collage of love, goodness, generosity and nobility in their different faces and forms”. The festive gala evening was opened with music of BNR’s Big Band directed by Mastro Antoni Donchev. The project "The Man Who Inspires Me" was realized with the cooperation of Factor Bulgaria, Sopharma, Beauty Bank and Workshop of Civil Initiatives Foundation, with JobTiger as media partner.
