Bulgaria hosts this year’s General assembly of the European Federation of the National Associations of Laboratories for Measurement, Testing and Analysis (EUROLAB)
The annual General assembly of EUROLAB, which is hosted this year by BULLAB, includes a meeting of the technical committee on quality, an international conference and a жeneral assembly. The events took place between the 18th and the 20th of April 2018 in the Bulgarian "St. St. Konstantin and Elena" resort.
BULLAB is the only full member of EUROLAB, representing Bulgaria since 1998. As a member of BULLAB since 2006, Sopharma presented its high-tech laboratories and their functionality as an instrument for performing measurements, tests and analyses. The company's presentation, as well as the presentations of other participants and sponsors, are available to all national associations, members of EUROLAB and they can be accessed on the organization's server.
The main topic of the meeting of the Technical Committee was the changes made to the ISO 17025 standard, which our laboratories closely follow. EUROLAB has prepared a set of guides on every point of the standard in order to facilitate the easy transition to the new items. They are available free of charge on the official website of EUROLAB http://www.eurolab.org/. The meeting was opened by the counselor to the Minister of the economy, Lubomir Ganchev, and in was attended by the head of the Bulgarian accreditation service Irena Borislavova and her work team.
Sopharma’s representative to BULLAB, Konstantin Dimitrov (Automation and metrological backup) is - at the same time - a member of the technical committee of the association. This post is voluntary and it is held under the invitation of the Management board of BULLAB.
Every year, the EUROLAB’s General assembly is hosted by a member country and this year the event coincided with Bulgaria’s European Presidency.
